
ArmInfo. By decision of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, amendments have been made to the resolution on the establishment of a commission for opening communications between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan as well as the approval of its composition.
According to the document published on the official government website, Pashinyan has decided to revise Resolution No. 905-A of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia dated October 8, 2025, "On the Establishment of a Commission for the Opening of communications between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Approval of its Composition." According to the document, the Commission, as outlined in the previous resolution, will be headed by Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan. Additionally, four individuals have been added to the list of commission members (from the previous 18 to 22).
Meanwhile, the October 8 decision was much more "expansive". It stated that taking into account the Joint Declaration of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the President of the United States of America signed on August 8, 2025 following the meeting in Washington, a Commission on the Opening of Communications between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan will be established to coordinate the work on opening, restoring and creating a communications infrastructure between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, in particular, organizing the design and construction of infrastructure (including railway lines, highways, gas pipelines, oil pipelines, power lines, fiber optic cables), developing a financing model, developing a business model for the establishment and operation of a joint venture between the Republic of Armenia and the United States of America, as well as the necessary legal acts and agreements.
