Simonyan: UNDP greatly contributed to Armenia`s democratic, economic,  and institutional development

ArmInfo.  On October 31, Alen Simonyan, Speaker of the RA National Assembly, participated in a solemn event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the UNDP mission in Armenia and the 5th anniversary of UNDP-NA cooperation.

According to the NA press service, Alen Simonyan thanked the program  manager, noting that it has greatly contributed to Armenia's  democratic, economic, and institutional development. The Speaker of  the National Assembly expressed hope that the National Assembly's  partnership with the UNDP will be continuous, contributing to   increasing the efficiency  of the NA and forming a culture of  having  a more accountable and transparent legislative body. IN celebration  of the partnership, the 30th anniversary of the UNDP mission in  Armenia and the 5th anniversary of effective cooperation with the  National Assembly, the UNDP programme was awarded a commemorative  medal by the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of  Armenia.
