ArmInfo. The law firm "Mikael Hambardzumyan & Partners," owned by former Director of the National Security Service of Armenia Mikael Hambardzumyan, reported the discovery of technical interference, editing, and insertion of fragments from other recordings in recordings released by the Investigative Committee of Armenia as part of a criminal case against supporters of the "Sacred Struggle" movement.
The company's statement noted that they are collaborating with a specialized AUDIO/VIDEO engineering group and can provide interested lawyers, individuals, and legal entities with professional consultations, opinions, and reports on the veracity of audio and video recordings. "We consider it necessary to note that, together with a professional team, we have already examined seven video recordings of varying lengths published by the investigative body in the criminal case against His Holiness Bagrat. As a result, numerous indisputable instances of technical interference, editing, and insertion of fragments from other recordings were identified. Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan's defense has been notified of this work and the expert opinion," the firm's statement reads.
As a reminder, on June 25, 18 opposition figures and supporters of the "Sacred Struggle" movement, led by the movement's leader, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, were taken into custody. They are accused of attempting to "seize power." Recorded conversations between movement members are cited as evidence of their guilt.
