ArmInfo. The order of a meeting in the "3+3" regional platform format is currently being discussed with Azerbaijan. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated this in a conversation with journalists on October 27.
He noted that this issue arose after meetings had already taken place in all the other capitals of the participating countries. "We are currently discussing the order with Azerbaijan. Moreover, the discussion of any issue is inevitably linked to many other issues of Armenian-Azerbaijani normalization," Mirzoyan said. He also emphasized the importance of Armenia's participation in the "3+3" format.
Note that the first meeting of the "3+3" regional platform took place on December 10, 2021, in Moscow, co-chaired by the deputy foreign ministers of Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Turkey, and the Director General of the Iranian Foreign Ministry. The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that representatives of Georgia, who were also invited, chose not to participate in the meeting, but the door remains open to them. In 2023 in Iran, and in 2024 in Turkey, meetings of representatives of this platform at the level of the foreign ministers from five countries - Armenia, Azerbaijan, Russia, Iran, and Turkey - were held. Once again, Georgia did not participate in the platform's work. The parties agreed to hold the next meeting in either Baku or Yerevan.
