ArmInfo. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had forgiven the crimes committed by Turks and Azerbaijanis long ago, but has declared anyone in Armenia who does not share his views as personal enemies, as noted by Tigran Abrahamyan, a member of the opposition "With Honor" faction in the parliament, in his Facebook post. "Given the numerous violations recorded during the ongoing sham trial in Azerbaijan, former Artsakh State Minister Ruben Vardanyan refused the services of a lawyer, believing his rights were being violated even in his presence. Amid the warming relations between Aliyev and Pashinyan, Armenians are suffering in Azerbaijani prisons, while the Republic of Armenia is being labeled an aggressor and a war criminal. Meanwhile, Armenian prisons are filling with opponents of the Pashinyan government-former presidents, clergy, philanthropists, members of parliament, and dozens of other individuals who not only reject the current regime's position under any circumstances, but also fight for the interests of the country and our citizens," the MP emphasized.
The MP cited David Hambardzumyan as an example. "The clearly unlawful verdict against David Hambardzumyan, head of the enlarged Masis community, culminates the authorities' political course of maintaining power at any cost and filling the system with their own people. Although some activists and citizens are not currently in prison, political persecution against them continues," Abrahamyan emphasized.
