
ArmInfo.The official launch of the advanced training program "School for Developing Mastery for Russian Language and Literature Teachers in Armenia" took place in Tsaghkadzor.
The project is being implemented by Rossotrudnichestvo and the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO), with the support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Armenia.
According to the press service of Rossotrudnichestvo, 80 teachers of Russian language and literature from Yerevan and various regions of the country were given the opportunity to enhance their professional, communicative and creative skills, exchange experiences, and be inspired by new ideas. Marina Chigasheva, Head of MGIMO's Language Training Department, in her welcoming remarks wished the participants productive work. Maxim Seleznev, Minister-Counselor of the Russian Embassy in Armenia, also delivered a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of teaching Russian.
MGIMO Vice-Rector for Language and Pre-University Training Igor Putintsev noted that participation in the program is a special mission for the university. He emphasized the project's special significance for MGIMO. "Just as Russian is studied and supported in Armenia, at MGIMO-among 57 foreign languages-Armenian is also studied. It is not just a means of communication, but a tool for intercultural dialogue and a sign of respect for one's partner," he added. Vadim Fefilov, head of the Rossotrudnichestvo office in Armenia, stessed that the project is a source of particular pride: "The idea was born in Armenia, and the country's Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports has provided its full support. It's gratifying that the program involves not only 20 teachers from Yerevan, but also 60 Russian language specialists from across the country."
