Member of  "In Our Way" movement  detained in Gyumri

ArmInfo.Human rights activist Ruben Mkhitaryan, a member of the "In Our Way" movement, has been detained in Gyumri.

According to the movement's press service, he had previously tried,  as a human rights activist, to resolve an unacceptable situation that  had arisen in the mayor's office of Armenia's second-largest city.

The Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs informed ArmInfo that a  total of 23 people were detained in relation to the clashes between  police and citizens who had gathered to defend Gyumri Mayor Vardan  Ghukasyan.
