National Center for Technical Security (NSTS) to be dissolved

ArmInfo.  The National Center for Technical Security (NCTS) will be dissolved, with its functions  being transferred to private companies. During its meeting on October 20, the RA NA Defense and Security Committee approved the government-submitted amendments to the law "On State Regulation of Ensuring Technical Security."

According to RA Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Armen Mkrtchyan,  the Center is currently a part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs  and often duplicates the functions of private organizations that have  the necessary accreditation. Due to this overlap,  it is proposed to  dissolve the structure within the Ministry of Internal Affairs and  shift technical expertise to the private sector. Meanwhile, the  Ministry of Internal Affairs will be responsible for regulating this  area.
