Prospects for developing Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran-Armenia  logistics route discussed in Armenia 

ArmInfo. The Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of  Armenia, in cooperation with the Astana Diplomatic Club, held a final roundtable discussion on the prospects for developing the  Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran-Armenia logistics route.

Meeting participants discussed the potential for developing the  logistics route. According to the ministry's press service, Armenia's  infrastructure capabilities, current conditions, and planned programs  were presented. Private sector participation and the potential for  implementing new formats for regional cooperation were also  discussed.

This discussion concluded a seven-day logistics tour organized at the  initiative of the Astana Diplomatic Club along the aforementioned  route.

The tour aimed to promote regional cooperation, strengthen mutual  economic ties, and improve transportation efficiency, as well as to  familiarize participants with the potential of the logistics route  and assess its practical application.

The discussion was attended by Deputy Minister of Territorial  Administration and Infrastructure Armen Simonyan, Kazakhstan's  Ambassador to Armenia Bolat Imanbayev, representatives of the Iranian  Embassy, members of the Astana Diplomatic Club, private sector  representatives, company executives, experts, as well as  representatives of government agencies and diplomatic circles. As a  reminder, in September 2025, during the 11th meeting of the  Armenian-Kazakh Intergovernmental Commission, Armenian Deputy Prime  Minister Mgeri Grigoryan noted that the Republic of Armenia supports  the project to create a multimodal freight transport route along the  Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran-Armenia route. He noted that parallel  freight transport is already underway along the  China-Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan-Iran-Armenia route,  demonstrating growing interest in expanding transport and logistics  ties between the countries.

"I believe these cargo shipments could become regular, especially  given the potential interest of Armenian entrepreneurs in the  capabilities of the Khorgos International Border Cooperation Center,  located on the Kazakh-Chinese border. The development of  interregional transport and logistics infrastructure is particularly  important for Armenia in the context of the implementation of the  Crossroads of the World infrastructure project," the RA Deputy Prime  Minister noted.
