ArmInfo. RA President Vahagn Khachaturyan participated in a roundtable discussion titled "Panorama of Transport Logistics in Armenia," organized at the Armenian State University of Economics.
According to the presidential press service, the event was attended by Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan, Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan, and representatives from the National Assembly and various Armenian organizations.
The President delivered an opening speech, touching on the Crossroads of peace initiative and the situation following the August 8Washington Agreements. "I believe the topic of this discussion is one of the most discussed - the Crossroads of Peace initiative presented by the Republic of Armenia. We need a thorough analysis to understand how we can bring the Crossroads of Peace idea into life. This idea was presented not only to the Armenian but also to the international community two years ago. Initially, there was considerable skepticism about what it was and to what extent it could become a reality. There was no shortage of criticism, but time has shown that this idea can become an important impetus for regional cooperation and economic interaction," the President noted, adding that he expects to hear concrete and practical proposals.
Khachaturyan emphasized that in today's new realities, it is necessary to combine the potential of various government and scientific institutions to provide adequate assessments of the situation within and around the country, and to clarify development directions.
