Education is way to success in all spheres - Nikol Pashinyan

Education is way to success in all spheres - Nikol Pashinyan

ArmInfo. RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan participated in the event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports of  Armenia at the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall.

The event was also attended by Minister of Education, Science,  Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan, Minister of Health Anahit  Avanesyan, Rector of the State Institute of Physical Culture and  Sports Tigran Simonyan, the faculty of the institute, students,  representatives of the scientific, educational and cultural spheres,  as well as guests from abroad.

Prime Minister Pashinyan made a speech, welcomed those present and  congratulated on the 80th anniversary of the founding of the State  Institute of Physical Culture and Sports of Armenia. According to the  Prime Minister, the State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports is  an institution about which there are many emotions in the Republic of  Armenia, since the glorious sports successes of Armenia, of which  everyone is continuously proud, are associated with the activities of  that institute. "I understand that many people are present in the  hall today who are co-authors of all those successes, and I want to  pay tribute to all the distinguished figures who have ensured the  glory of our sports and thus charged us all with great emotions and  energy. I thank you for the work you have done," the Prime Minister  said.

According to Nikol Pashinyan, on this holiday it is also very  important to record what should be done with that heritage. "I think  our greatest tribute to that heritage will be that we, as the New  Testament says, do not squander that success entrusted to us or at  least do not add anything new to that success, but rather, using the  tradition of that success, open new pages of glory to the glorious  pages of sports that we have had up to this moment." The Prime  Minister emphasized that the path to success in all spheres, as well  as in the sphere of physical culture and sports, passes through  education. "That is, unless we have serious success in the sphere of  education, we cannot have more on the competition platforms than we  have today."

In his speech, Nikol Pashinyan emphasized that the Institute of  Physical Culture and Sports is of strategic importance in the sphere  of sports, in this context, he talked about providing the necessary  sports infrastructure within the framework of the "300 Schools, 500  Kindergartens" program, and creating sports centers in the regions.  "Today, we pay special attention not only to physical education halls  in all our schools, but also to outdoor sports infrastructure. We are  working together with the private sector to create sports centers in  the regions."

Speaking about the importance of the institute in the healthcare  sector, the Prime Minister noted that there are major problems in the  healthcare sector, including because citizens are not sufficiently  encouraged to lead a healthy lifestyle and engage in sports, which in  turn is related to the lack of infrastructure. "I want to say that  the Government will create these infrastructures, and we expect these  infrastructures to have specialists, because these infrastructures  will not give the results that we all expect without proper  specialists.  Therefore, I want us today, celebrating the 80th  anniversary of the Institute of Physical Culture and Sports, to also  record the opening of a new 80-year page," said Nikol Pashinyan and  added that it is necessary to have strategic discussions and make  decisions on how to use the legacy of the previous 80 years to plan  the next 80 years and create at least the same glorious sports and  athletic pages in the coming 80 years.

Summing up his speech, the Prime Minister once again congratulated  the institute on its 80th anniversary, thanked it for the work and  contribution it has made during this period, and expressed confidence  that this first 80th anniversary will be followed by the second,  third, fourth, fifth, and each 80th anniversary will be richer, more  glorious, more beautiful, and filled with greater prospects than the  previous one.

The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna  Andreasyan, and the Rector of the State Institute of Physical Culture  and Sports Tigran Simonyan also made speeches.

A video about the university's past and vision for the future was  shown as part of the event, after which the solemn ceremony of  awarding the Orders of Honor took place.
