


ArmInfo.Foreign nationals arriving in Armenia for short-term work will be required to request a work visa from the Ministry of Internal Affairs for, which will serve as the legal basis for obtaining temporary residence status. This decision was made during a government meeting on October 16.
The rationale for the draft decision notes that the residence permit process will be digitized. To this end, a unified electronic platform will be created, enabling foreigners to submit applications online and track the entire status process.
Additionally, a quota mechanism will be introduced to allow the government set an annual limit on the number of foreign workers permitted to enter the country, taking into account the labor market needs. Annually, the government will determine the maximum number of foreign specialists that can be employed in various sectors of the Armenian economy.
