ArmInfo. The Armenian authorities want to increase the role of communities in matters related to the protection of children's rights. At its October 16 session, the RA National Assembly Committee on Human Rights and Public Affairs approved the amendments to the Family Code and related legislation submitted by the RA government.
As Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Tatevik Stepanyan noted in her speech, the projects are aimed at implementing reforms in the child protection system, which is based on the government's program for 2021-2026. Communities will be responsible for protecting children's rights, with the involvement of a specialized social worker.
