ArmInfo.Bishop Mkrtich, the Primate of the Aragatsotn Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, has been taken to the Investigative Department of the Kentron Administrative District in Yerevan, and a group of lawyers is planning to go there, as stated by lawyer Ara Zohrabyan to reporters on October 15.
He also mentioned that another group of lawyers will remain outside the Investigative Committee building and attempt to enter. Zohrabyan noted that the Human Rights Defender's Office has informed him of the bishop's whereabouts.
The lawyer declined to provide further details, citing a lack of necessary information. He only informed that the Ombudsman's representatives are currently at the Committee building, verifying the information on the detainees. After this verification, the lawyers will be able to enter the building.
