


ArmInfo. Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin conducted a working visit to the Shirak Region. During his visit he met with representatives of the local business community who are cooperating with Russian partners.
According to the press service of the Russian Embassy in Armenia, discussions were held on practical matters related to the development of interregional ties and support to local entrepreneurs from relevant Russian agencies. The meeting included the participation of Russian Trade Representative in the Republic Sergey Solomin, employees from the Ministry of Economic Development and the Russian Export Center. The Russian Ambassador also met with the leadership of the 102nd Russian Military Base and the Leninakan Detachment of the FSB Border Service in Armenia. He reviewed modern weapons and equipment, participated in a ceremony initiating children into the ranks of the "Youth Army," presented state awards to military personnel, and laid flowers at the Walk of Fame.
Kopirkin visited the "Russian House" in Gyumri, where he was introduced to the main activities and ongoing cultural and humanitarian projects aimed at preserving historical memory, supporting youth initiatives, popularizing the Russian language, and advancing Russian education. The head of the Russian diplomatic mission also visited the "Hill of Honor" in Gyumri-a memorial to Russian soldiers who died during the Russo-Turkish wars of the 19th century.
