


ArmInfo.Russia's offer to provide a venue for the signing of a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan remains valid. This was stated by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin at a reception marking Armenia's Independence Day.
"Our offer to provide a venue for the signing of a final peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan remains valid," Galuzin said.
He added that the Russian side attaches particular importance to the normalization of relations between the countries. "Clearly, significant work remains to be done to implement our plans in practice. We are ready to provide Yerevan and Baku with all necessary assistance in overcoming the remaining differences, including taking into account the trilateral statements of the leaders of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan," Galuzin noted, RIA Novosti reports.
He emphasized that Russia played a major and effective role in the peace process between Yerevan and Baku. In turn, the Armenian Ambassador to Moscow, Gurgen Arsenyan, also noted the contribution of Russian diplomacy to the settlement process and called it "special."
