
ArmInfo. On October 14, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Elina Valtonen, the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and Finnish Foreign Minister.
According to the PM's office, the Prime Minister highlighted the importance of productive cooperation with the OSCE, noting the active dialogue established with the organization in recent years. Nikol Pashinyan stressed the need to strengthen the OSCE's role in maintaining security and stability in it's area of responsibility.
Elina Valtonen congratulated the RA Prime Minister on the peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, expressing confidence it will significantly contribute to building a stable future for the country and foster cooperation in the region.
The two sides discussed the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the continuation of the border demarcation process, and issues related to regional processes.
Views were exchanged on the development of relations between Armenia and the European Union. Nikol Pashinyan emphasized the importance of the EU's consistent support in strengthening democracy and advancing reforms He stated that implementing EU standards in various areas is crucial for the Armenian government. Discussions also included combating corruption, developing civil society, improving the business environment, and other reforms.
Nikol Pashinyan and Elina Valtonen also spoke about the further development of relations between Armenia and Finland. Specifically, they exchanged views on opportunities for developing business ties and attracting investment. Both parties emphasized the need to organize high-level reciprocal visits.
