ArmInfo. Armenia, at Azerbaijan's request, through direct negotiations without intermediaries, was handing over everything possible, sacrificing its national and state interests.
Edmon Marukyan, leader of the Bright Armenia party, wrote on his Telegram channel. "I am following the process of establishing a ceasefire in Gaza and resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. In accordance with this ceasefire regime, Hamas and Israel have started exchanging prisoners. Seven Israeli hostages have already been handed over to the Red Cross. This is a real deal, when a state frees its citizens from captivity, torture, and lawlessness. All this time, Armenia, at Azerbaijan's request, through direct negotiations without intermediaries, has handed over everything possible, sacrificing its national and state interests," the politician wrote.
According to him, the unimpeded road from the villages of Syunik has been handed over to the enemy, while his compatriots remain in Azerbaijani prisons.
"Right now, Israel is celebrating the signing of the ceasefire, and their joy is understandable. But what they are trying to present to us as a 'conquest,' expecting the people's delight, is actually a deception and a lie. However, our people understand this perfectly...," Marukyan wrote.
Note that today a "peace summit" began in Sharm el-Sheikh. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu refused to participate in it.
