Tajikistan supports Armenia-Azerbaijan normalization - Emomali Rahmon

ArmInfo. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in Dushanbe on October 10.

According to the press service of the RA government, Rahmon,  welcoming the Armenian Prime Minister's visit, noted that today's  meeting is a good opportunity to discuss agenda items aimed at  further developing bilateral relations.

Pashinyan expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality and noted that  the Armenian government attaches importance to expanding and  deepening multifaceted ties with Tajikistan.

The two sides exchanged views on further steps to give new impetus to  trade and economic relations.

They discussed the opportunities created by the establishment of  peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, strengthening the atmosphere of  cooperation in the region, and the implementation of the TRIPP and  Crossroads of Peace projects.

Emomali Rahmon welcomed the initialing of the peace agreement  following the Washington meeting and expressed his country's support  for the process of normalizing Armenian-Azerbaijani relations.
