


ArmInfo. The "Symphonic Europe" concert was held at the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall to celebrate the long-standing friendship between the peoples of Armenia and European countries.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport (MECS), renowned violinist Michael Barenboim, accompanied by the Armenian Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Sergey Smbatyan, performed Edward Elgar's Violin Concerto and Tigran Mansurian's "Partita."
This is the second year the concert has been held at the initiative of the European Union (EU) Mission to Armenia and the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra.
"This close cooperation, initiated in recent years, aims to promote cultural dialogue and implement important cultural programs to strengthen the friendship between peoples," the Ministry noted.
Daniel Danielyan, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture, and Vaclav Shterba, Deputy Head of Cooperation at the EU Mission to Armenia, delivered welcoming remarks at the concert.
