ArmInfo. On October 7, 2025, the Anti-Corruption Court, following a new hearing of a civil case, upheld the claim of the RA Prosecutor General's Office against former RA Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan. This was stated in a statement by the supervisory body.
As noted in the statement, 25,252,000 drams will be recovered in favor of the Republic of Armenia as compensation for damages caused to the state. According to the factual circumstances of the case, the damage was caused as a result of improper execution of contracts concluded in 2007 and 2008 between former RA Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan and the Gugark company for restoration work at the Kobayravank monastery complex as part of the "Monument Restoration Program."
The court found the prosecutor's arguments regarding the existence of illegal actions on the part of Asmik Poghosyan in connection with two contracts to be justified and granted the claim.
