Armenia`s ruling party announces online fundraising campaign for  local government elections in Vagharshapat community

The total amount of donations from one person cannot exceed 10  million drams within one year," the statement reads.

As a reminder, elections to the Council of Elders of the enlarged  Vagharshapat community will be held on November 16, 2025. On May 13,  the Corruption Prevention Commission opened administrative  proceedings against former Vagharshapat Mayor Diana Gasparyan, and on  May 15, she announced her resignation.

According to her, this decision was made due to the need to "choose  between family and work."

However, the Anti-Corruption Committee reported that "a criminal  investigation is underway for abuse of office, as well as for  providing false information or concealing data in a declaration."
