
ArmInfo.RA President Vahagn Khachaturyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Armenia Muhammetgeldi Ayazov on the occasion of Turkmenistan's national holiday, Independence Day. This was reported by the press service of the RA President.
Vahagn Khachaturyan congratulated the ambassador on the holiday and conveyed his best wishes to President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Chairman of the People's Council Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, wishing Turkmenistan and the Turkmen people peace, continued development, and comprehensive prosperity.
In connection with the completion of the ambassador's diplomatic mission in Armenia, the RA President thanked him for his fruitful work and efforts aimed at strengthening Armenian-Turkmen relations. Vahagn Khachaturyan highly praised the diplomat's contribution to developing cooperation between the two countries and wished him continued success in his work.
During the conversation, issues on the bilateral agenda were addressed, as well as opportunities for expanding economic cooperation. The President of Armenia emphasized that if the "Crossroads of Peace" program is implemented, new opportunities for developing cooperation not only in the economic but also in the social and cultural spheres could emerge, thereby contributing to the deepening of ties between Armenia and Turkmenistan.
The parties praised the consistently high level of political relations and mutual visits between Armenia and Turkmenistan, as well as the effective and reliable cooperation in various international forums.
