RA Prosecutor General`s Office  assumes  chairmanship of Interstate  Anti-Corruption Council 

ArmInfo.Today, the 10th anniversary meeting of the Interstate Anti-Corruption Council took place in Yerevan.

The Council included the Prosecutors General of the Republic of Armenia, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus,  and the Kyrgyz Republic, along with the representatives from the  National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the  Director of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan,  and the Director of the Agency for State Financial Control and Anti  -Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan. 

According to the press service of the Armenian supervisory authority,  the meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of  Armenia Mher Grigoryan, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia  Anna Vardapetyan, Chairman of the Agency for State Financial Control  and Anti Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan and Acting Chairman  of the Interstate Council on Combating Corruption, Sulaymon  Sultanzoda, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Pyotr  Gorodov, First Deputy Chairman of the National Security Committee of  the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ali Altynbayev, Prosecutor General of the  Kyrgyz Republic Maksat Asanaliev, Chairman of the Anti-Corruption  Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan Akmal Burkhanov, Deputy  Prosecutor General of Belarus Sergei Khmaruk, the representative of  the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States  Igor Malashevich, the representative of the Council of Heads of  Financial Intelligence Units of the CIS Member States Yulia Denisova  and others. 

Anna Vardapetyan welcomed the heads of delegations participating in  the 10th meeting of the Interstate Anti-Corruption Council in Yerevan  and expressed gratitude for accepting the invitation despite their  busy schedules. She emphasized that, after a seven-year hiatus, the  Armenian capital is hosting delegations from Council member states.  Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan also welcomed the delegations  participating in the meeting and emphasized that, since the Council's  establishment, its members have succeeded in establishing a stable  dialogue based on mutual respect. According to the Deputy Prime  Minister, the Interstate Anti-Corruption Council is one of the most  important sectoral bodies in the CIS, playing a key role in ensuring  law and order, strengthening cooperation among CIS member states,  coordinating joint actions, and formulating priority areas for  collaboration. 

"The tenth meeting is not just another phase. This is a great  opportunity to assess the  achieved outcomes, take stock and  determine areas for further cooperation and activities of the  Council," the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic noted. He added  that Armenia, having assumed the chairmanship of the Council, will   continue the path of strengthening the anti-corruption partnership,   ensure the ongoing implementation of previously reached agreements  and make a significant contribution to joint initiatives.
