ArmInfo. Armenian authorities are once again lying when they talk about donations made to the ARF Dashnaktsutyun party in 2024, amounting to only 1.936 million AMD, as stated by Ishkhan Saghatelyan, a representative of the party's Supreme Body and a member of the National Assembly, to journalists on October 2.
According to him, all the data on donations to the party is available, as well as data on their collection. "Yesterday in the country's parliament, this man (RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan - ed.) made another cynical statement on this matter. He spoke about internal democracy in political parties, and this begs the question: what has he got to do with it? No one else, not only in Armenia but in the world, has such internal democracy as the ARF. Over 135 years, the party's internal democracy has reached a level that many would envy. Our meetings have never been a show; they involve active discussions on domestic and foreign policy, regional and international issues, resulting in the identification of programs aimed at overcoming the existing issues. These meetings are not a one man show," the Dashnaktsakan noted, pointing to the deeper essence of what is happening around the ARF.
Saghatelyan noted that Armenia is currently being governed by anti-national and anti-state forces, that have no sacred values, and t waging a war against national identity. In contrast, the ARF party, with its own history and national ideology, stands in opposition to these forces. "Once they lose power, we'll see how long they last. Then everyone will see who closes down and who remains," noted a representative of the ARF Supreme Body.
In response to a question about Pashinyan's statement that the opposition could achieve a change of power through rallies and acts of disobedience, but is not doing so, Saghatelyan called on the Prime Minister to suspend the activities of law enforcement agencies for 24 hours, carrying out illegal detentions and arrests of public activists and political figures. After that, it will become clear whether he will remain in power or not.
