Pashinyan: I am not the only one speaking about peace

ArmInfo. I'm not unilaterally talking about peace.  Azerbaijan is also talking about peace. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this at a briefing Armenian journalists in Strasbourg on September 29, in response to a question about whether Armenia is the only one talking about peace, given that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev speaks about the "Zangezur Corridor" from the UN rostrum, The Armenian Prime Minister was forced to counter, turning the UN podium into a platform for clarifying matters while at an event in Ganja, Azerbaijanis also showed their fists and recalled about  winning the 44-day war.

"I'm not talking about peace unilaterally; we have signed documents about peace. Moreover, I'm not the only one talking about peace. Azerbaijan is also talking about peace." There's no misinterpretation in the comments. You say that the UN podium has become a platform for clarifying certain matters. The UN rostrum is precisely for this so that certain matters are not clarified, but explained.

The ideology of Real Armenia contains an important element: it's about transformation, about self- Armenization. Truth that hasn't been Armenianized loses its status.

In our society, everything is viewed from the following perspective: Azerbaijan said this, someone else said that, a third said something else. And the most important question always remains practically unnoticed:  what are we saying?

We've spoken a lot about Armenia's subjectivization, about Armenia being a subject of international relations, not an object. And all because we've never cared about what we say ourselves; we've always cared about what others say," he stated.

Regarding accusations that Armenia is fulfilling others' demands, the Prime Minister stated: "Armenia doesn't fulfill anyone's demands." There have been situations in our history when we've been constantly knocked down, and as a result, we've started saying, "Look, the world is unfair." And we don't stop to think, "Maybe it's because we're standing on the roadway?" You should cross the street on the pedestrian crossing.

We need to think about public hygiene. Or let's just say that if we're standing on the roadway and explaining to drivers moving at 100 km/h what historical justice is, and how valid our arguments are, then, excuse me, no one cares. Because they want to get from point A to point B," the head of government said.

Speaking about the situation created after August 8, Pashinyan stated that in his address after that, he had compared the world to a newborn child who must grow up and thrive. "We have a good saying: a child grows up by getting sick. And  peace will also grow up by getting sick," the Armenian Prime Minister concluded.
