ArmInfo. A suspect in the murder of Parakar community head, Volodya Grigoryan, has been detained. The suspect, Narek Ohanyan, turned out to be the cousin of the head of Merdzavan village, Mher Akhtoyan, who is a member of the ruling Civil Contract party. The footage of the arrest is being distributed by Armenian media.
It is reported that with the help of service dogs, investigators found the clothing that Narek Ohanyan had tried to burn, which did not completely burn.
In an interview with journalists, Deputy Chief of Police Vardan Vardanyan emphasized that there is no political element in the murder of the Parakar community head. The incident, he said, is linked to a shooting that took place near Akhtoyan's home seven months ago. Social media users are inclined to believe that it was an act of revenge.
