
ArmInfo. As part of his ongoing visit to the Syunik region, Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin visited the Zangezur Copper and Molybdenum Combine (ZCMC).
According to the press service of the Russian Embassy, during a meeting with the plant's management, the head of the Russian diplomatic mission was briefed on the plant's large- scale plans for technological modernization of production, extensive social support programs for its employees, and measures to develop its personnel training system. Participating in the meeting were Sergey Solomin, Russia's Trade Representative in Armenia, and representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development and the Russian Export Center, who discussed the potential for leveraging advanced Russian technologies and modern solutions for optimizing the production process.
During the visit, Kopyrkin also met with representatives of the Syunik region's business community working with Russian partners, discussing practical issues related to the development of bilateral trade and economic ties and the provision of assistance to entrepreneurs by Russian relevant structures. The potential for developing business contacts within the framework of interregional cooperation was noted.
During the Russian Ambassador's visit to the Syunik Region, special attention was paid to local humanitarian initiatives aimed at preserving and developing the deep traditions of Russian-Armenian cultural and people-to-people ties.
The head of the Russian diplomatic mission visited free animation courses in the city of Agarak, organized with the support of the educational and cultural charitable foundation "Our Future," and the Russian center in Kapan, where he participated in an open lesson entitled "Sport Unites." He also met with members of the A.S. Griboyedov Literary Club at the House of Russian Books in Kapan.
