


ArmInfo. Armenian Justice Minister Srbuhi Galyan and Iranian Justice Minister Amin Hossein Rahim signed a memorandum of understanding "On technical cooperation between the Armenian and Iranian Justice Ministries," aiming to deepen cooperation between the two countries in this area.
According to the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Justice, during the meeting, the parties discussed issues arising in the area of mutual legal assistance, as well as matters related to the transfer of convicts serving sentences in Armenia. Galyan and Rahim also discussed the challenges faced by Iranian citizens who are beneficiaries of probation.
The ministers then touched on tourism and investment, as well as the main challenges faced by Iranian businessmen. The Iranian Justice Minister also touched on the issue of bankruptcy and noted that work is currently underway to regulate the legislative framework.
Srbuhi Galyan praised the effective cooperation that has existed so far between Armenia and Iran. Amin Hossein Rahim, in turn, assured that he would make every effort to implement the existing legal framework and the actions outlined in the bilateral agreement. The Iranian Justice Minister also supported the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Following the meeting, Galyan received an official invitation from Rahimi to visit Tehran.
