


ArmInfo.Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II received the faculty and students of the Department of Theology of the Christian East at the Catholic University of Eichstatt-Ingolstadt, Germany, at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. They were led by the department head, Professor Thomas Kremer, and the rector of the college, Alexander Petrinko.
According to the press office of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, during the meeting, Thomas Kremer presented the university's educational programs and activities to Garegin II. He also stated that the purpose of his visit to Armenia is to become acquainted with the history of the Armenian people, their spiritual and cultural values, and prospects for scientific cooperation.
In turn, the Catholicos touched on the key role of Holy Etchmiadzin in the life of the Armenian people, emphasizing that Christianity has been the foundation for the creation of national and spiritual values and Armenian identity for centuries. During the meeting, Garegin II also touched upon the close ties and cooperation that have developed between sister churches and inter-church structures and the Armenian Church, thanks to which various educational, social, and cultural programs are being implemented today.
