


ArmInfo. Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Mnatsakan Safaryan received Indonesian Ambassador to Armenia Arif Basalama (residence in Kyiv).
According to the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, the Armenian diplomat congratulated the ambassador on the 33rd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Indonesia and expressed hope that, through joint efforts, Armenian-Indonesian interstate relations will continue to develop and strengthen in the near future.
Safaryan briefed the Indonesian ambassador on recent regional developments and the Armenian government's efforts to establish a lasting and sustainable peace in the South Caucasus, including the agreements reached in Washington during the normalization process between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Basalama expressed gratitude for the fruitful bilateral and multilateral cooperation in recent years, emphasizing Indonesia's readiness to deepen cooperation with Armenia in trade, economics, education, and culture.
The parties noted with satisfaction the increase in the number of Indonesian tourists visiting Armenia in recent years and emphasized the importance of people-to-people contacts.
On the same day, an official reception dedicated to Indonesian Independence Day was held in Yerevan, with Mnatsakan Safaryan serving as the guest of honor.
