ArmInfo. Syunik Airport reports that, contrary to media reports today, operations have not been suspended. The Yerevan-Kapan-Yerevan flight has been temporarily suspended, solely due to scheduled maintenance on the NovAir L-410 aircraft operating this route.
"We consider it important to inform you that even in the event of a temporary flight suspension, airports operate under the supervision and in accordance with the regulations of the relevant national and international regulatory authorities. The Yerevan-Kapan-Yerevan flight will resume immediately after the completion of the aircraft's scheduled maintenance later this year," the statement reads.
"As a reminder, since September of last year, five flights per week have been operated on the Yerevan-Kapan-Yerevan route, up from the previous three. There is also a certain demand for charter flights. We ask media representatives and individuals to contact Syunik Airport and NovAir through official channels for accurate information. We are always ready to provide important information to the public."
