Armenia and France discussed the possibility of implementing joint programs to develop winemaking in education and archeology, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports (MOESCS), citing the results of a meeting between the head of the MOESCS, Zhanna Andreasyan, and a delegation led by Gilbert-Luc Devinaz, Chairman of the France-Armenia Friendship Group of the French Senate.
Specifically, the Minister reported that an agreement has already been reached between the National Agrarian University of Armenia and several French universities to advance this area. In this regard, the importance of archaeological excavations in the Areni-1 cave and the promotion of the winemaking cultural heritage were emphasized. The meeting focused on enhancing the teaching of French in Armenian public schools, and ensuring the effectiveness of teacher training programs.
At the end of the meeting, Gilbert-Luc Devinaz thanked the delegation for the warm welcome and reaffirmed his willingness to cooperate on the proposed initiatives.
Other topics of mutual interest were also addressed during the meeting.
