Gyumri Mayor refrains from making statements about  elections

ArmInfo. Seeing the truth, seeing what the current and former authorities have organized, I will never follow their path for the sake of office. Gyumri Mayor  Vardan Ghukasyan told journalists  on September 23.

He urged all those who see everything and remain silent for personal  gain to stand up and defend the nation that is being destroyed. "Stop  pretending you don't know anything. We all know what's going on," the  mayor of Gyumri said.

As for his political plans, he asked the media to be patient, as he  is not yet ready to announce whether he will run in the elections  independently, or align with a specific party. He didn't rule out  running again with the Communists, however. "Considering that  everything  built in Armenia was during the Communist era, why not?"  Ghukasyan noted.
