


ArmInfo. Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan spoke about the current level of cooperation with NATO.
During his address at the 108th Rose-Roth Seminar of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, Papikyan stated that the Armenian Defense Ministry regularly receives specialized advisory assistance from France and the United States. He also noted that coordinated assistance is being provided by Greece in several areas.
According to him, the primary efforts in this area are currently focused on developing strategic documents with a new model and standards, modernizing the structure and command system of the Armed Forces, enhancing educational and training capabilities, and some other areas. Modern weapons and equipment are being acquired as part of the Armenian government's efforts to diversify markets. Papikyan added that the transformation of armed forces and bringing them up to modern standards is aimed not only at having a modern army, but also at achieving a high level of interaction with the armed forces of the partners.
