A delegation from the Rescue Service of Armenia's Ministry of Internal Affairs, led by Kamo Tsutsulyan, Director of the Service and Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, participated in the 37th meeting of the CIS Interstate Council for Natural and Man-Made Emergencies. The meeting was held in Tajikistan from September 17 to 18.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia, on September 17, during the meeting at the Shakhrinava National Rescue Training Center, participants were presented with the Center's capabilities, training grounds, field camp, technical resources, property, equipment, and fire and rescue equipment that meet international standards. On September 18, the 37th meeting of the CIS Interstate Council for Natural and Man-Made Emergencies took place.
Tsutsulyan also spoke at the event, presenting the progress of reforms being implemented in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, particularly in the Rescue Service, as well as work on personnel training and technical equipment within the framework of cooperation within the CIS.
Tsutsulyan assured that the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is ready to make every effort to strengthen and enhance cooperation with CIS member states in the pursuit of humanitarian ideals and ensuring public safety.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the achievements of the reporting period were summarized, and several interstate agreements on emergency management in the CIS were signed.
