ArmInfo. The government has adopted a draft resolution developed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, with the purpose of reducing the social burden on refugees from Artsakh related to their vehicle ownership rights.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia, under this initiative, "displaced" Artsakh residents will no longer be required to provide a certificate of payment for vehicle tax in cases of alienation, confiscation, inheritance, or change of address of the vehicle. They will also be exempt from any registration transactions. The Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that out of 21,107 vehicles removed from Artsakh, only 3,711 were re-registered in the name of a displaced person or transferred to another person by a displaced person.
"The adoption of this resolution will help create favorable conditions for beneficiaries and ensure the effective implementation of their property rights," the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs stated.
