


ArmInfo.The case involving former President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, and the owner of the Flash company, Barseg Beglaryan, for illegal trafficking of diesel fuel, will be retried, this time in the Anti-Corruption Court. Details of the case have been published on the website of the Datalex judicial information system.
According to the case materials, Serzh Sargsyan is accused of organizing a group of officials, during his presidency from April 9, 2008 to April 9, 2018, to embezzle state funds on an especially large scale, amounting to 489,160,000 drams. Barsegh Beglaryan is accused of embezzling 489,160,000 drams from January 25 to February 7, 2013, as the owner of Flash LLC, along with Sergo Karapetyan, who was the Minister of Agriculture at the time. The funds were received from the government's Reserve Fund for the implementation of a state support program for the purchase of affordable diesel fuel for agricultural work in the spring of 2013.
Other individuals implicated in the case involve former Deputy Minister of Agriculture Samvel Galstyan, former head of the Ministry of Agriculture's Plant Breeding Department Gevorg Harutyunyan, and former Minister of Agriculture Sergo Karapetyan. Some of them are no longer alive.
