ArmInfo. "The ideology of war has influenced Armenian society not only shaping a simplified perception of the countries in the region, but also affecting how they view their own country and society. This is because war also requires such a self-image that reconciles with war, shows its inevitability and describes war as the only possible form of coexistence." These thoughts and ideas belong to the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports (MOESCS, which are set out in a concept with a difficult to translate title. The draft resolution "On approval of the concept "On support for the location of the aesthetics of Real Armenia" (verbatim) was submitted for public discussion on the e- draft platform on September 12 and by midday on September 16 it was supported by 82% of respondents.
As stated in the explanation to the document, the further development of the Republic of Armenia and the strengthening of statehood should also be based on the aesthetic forms of expression and manifestation of the content of the RA. The principles and standards of these aesthetic forms are important for representing the state at international and foreign venues, particularly, the pavilions of the Republic of Armenia at various international exhibitions and venues, during the ceremonial presentation of the state in various environments. They are also important for organizing public life in a way that fosters a sense of statehood among citizens.
Why?
The brief description of the project states that the main approach of true Armenian aesthetics can be formulated as follows: a look inward, which helps to effectively relate to the outside.
"The development of the statehood of the Republic of Armenia implies not only the development of legal, legislative and economic components, but also the encouragement and support of aesthetic forms that contribute to the development of the statehood of the Republic of Armenia, which complement and strengthen other components of state and public life, strengthen civic consciousness, a sense of belonging to the state and the aesthetic presence of the Republic of Armenia in public life. Moreover, the definition of the principles and standards of these aesthetic forms is also necessary from the point of view of awareness of one's own country, first of all, awareness of one's present," the authors of the initiative noted.
It is noted that the localization and further support of the aesthetics of Real Armenia can only occur when the Real Armenia is clear and unambiguous as a political, legal, economic, social, cultural, spiritual and psychological space.
"The political and legal territory of the real Armenia is declared, proclaimed and recognized as the territory enclosed by the internationally recognized borders of the Republic of Armenia," the MESCS emphasizes.
The real economic scope of Armenia is measurable by the current economic situation of the country, the international economic systems and networks into which the country is integrated or will be integrated in the future, and in that sense, the working environment becomes visible. What ideas, according to the MESCS, should underlie the aesthetics of "Real Armenia".
Those ideas that contribute to the development of the Republic of Armenia, the realization of state interests and the dignified, safe and prosperous life for a person in the state.
A more detailed answer involves building the aesthetics of "Real Armenia" around the following main ideas: - Peace - Identification of Homeland and the state through patriotism and or recognition of one's country - Justice, freedom, prosperity, security both at the individual, public, and state levels - Public responsibility, initiative and participation - Absence of closed or taboo topics in public discourse, art and culture; Creation of an environment and opportunities for dialogue on all issues - Continuous (self)education and creative work The environmentalization of aesthetics, which should provide an opportunity to materialize the aesthetics of Real Armenia at the level of public coexistence, while the logic s that it should be expressed not only on stages and in works of art, but also in the urban environment.
State policy should be aimed at emphasizing these ideas, highlighting them through various aesthetic forms and their dissemination," the document says.
For example, as noted, the adoption of the idea of peace as a cornerstone value of Real Armenia implies the need to ensure the implementation of this idea in the subsequent chain, in various artistic forms and various cultural events, scientific, educational research and urban content. In all these environments, the emphasis is currently on war, revenge, and militarization. State-funded programs should exclude the propaganda of war and revenge, and be aimed at forming and encouraging an environment of coexistence in the region. Moreover, for peace to acquire real content, it must be based on knowledge of the region, true and honest knowledge of one's own history and critical thinking.
".For years, the policy of war has created an information and knowledge vacuum regarding the present of the region, replacing it mainly with information interpreted from a historical and specific position. In this case, it is necessary to show the complexity and multiple layers of the situation, to make the region visible, also with its common interests, including economic ones, which can clearly encourage thought and feeling in that direction. The peace discourse should include support programs for joint initiatives: joint film production, festivals, any other format where there is an opportunity for human contact, an opportunity to listen to and understand the other's point of view," the Ministry is convinced.
As a result of adopting this project, the MESCS believes, aesthetically sound principles and standards will be established that contribute to the development of the statehood of the Republic of Armenia, allowing for additional stimulation and support of content in this direction through various instruments of state policy.
