Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia Artur Poghosyan met with the Minister of Public Security of the People's Republic of China Wang Xiaohong within the framework of his official visit to the People's Republic of China. The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the People's Republic of China Vahe Gevorgyan:
As reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, Artur Poghosyan highly appreciated the role of the conference "Global Cooperation in Public Security 2025" as a global platform for interaction between law enforcement agencies and expressed gratitude for the invitation to participate, as well as for the warm welcome.
The Minister of Public Security of the People's Republic of China emphasized the importance of cooperation with the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, noting that the Armenian- Chinese strategic partnership is based on friendship, mutual respect and trust and covers various areas of interaction, including public security and law enforcement agencies.
The Minister of Public Security of the People's Republic of China, pointing to the recent visits of high- ranking Armenian officials to China, noted the readiness of the Chinese side to implement important agreements with the Armenian side, to create mechanisms for cooperation in the field of law enforcement and security.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of combating international crimes, in particular, drug trafficking, and exchanged ideas on improving the capabilities of law enforcement agencies in the field of cybercrime and high technologies, combining efforts to ensure the safe promotion of joint projects, deepening cooperation in the field of training investigators, and promoting the continuous development of bilateral relations.
At the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia and the Minister of Public Security of the People's Republic of China reached an agreement on expanding practical cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Armenia and the People's Republic of China.
