Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia to attend  Congress of Leaders of World Religions in Astana

ArmInfo. Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia Aram I, has  left for Astana at the invitation of the government of Kazakhstan, to participate in the VIII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions.

According to the press office of the House of Cilicia, Aram I will also attend other events during his visit.

His Holiness plans to meet with the head of the Russian Church Patriarch Kirill, the head of the Greek Orthodox Church of Jerusalem Patriarch Theophilos III and other religious leaders.

The VIII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions on the theme "Dialogue of Religions:  Synergy for the Future" will take place on September 17-18, 2025 in Astana. Delegations from over 60 countries will participate in the event, which will include the II Forum of Young Religious Leaders and a Special Session on the Protection of Religious Sites under the auspices of the UN Alliance of Civilizations.
