ArmInfo. Armenia has supported the resolution in the UN General Assembly calling for a return to the Palestinian-Israeli settlement based on the principle of "two states for two peoples", adopted in 1967. The document was initiated by France and Saudi Arabia.
The resolution was supported by 142 UN member states, including all of Armenia's neighboring countries, except for Georgia, which was not present during the vote. Ten states, including the United States, Israel, Hungary, and Argentina, voted against the resolution, and 12 states abstained from voting. To ensure a future truce, a "temporary international stabilization mission" in the Gaza Strip is proposed. Additionally, "security guarantees for Palestine and Israel" are to be provided.
