


ArmInfo.Special Representatives for the Normalization of Relations between Turkey and Armenia Serdar Kilic and Ruben Rubinyan held their sixth meeting in Yerevan.
As reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Armenia, during the meeting they agreed to expedite the implementation of the border crossing agreement reached on July 1, 2022, and also confirmed the issues they had worked and agreed on during previous meetings.
Particularly, they agreed that the relevant authorities of the two countries will conduct the necessary technical studies to restore and commission the Gyumri-Kars railway and power transmission line.
The special representatives of Armenia and Turkey also agreed to make every effort to strengthen cooperation in the cultural and academic fields, particularly, by creating scholarship opportunities for students in higher education institutions and jointly restoring the historic Ani/ Silk Road Bridge. Serdar and Rubinyan agreed to carry out the necessary work for other interested companies to start flights to various destinations from the summer of 2026, thereby increasing the number of air routes and flights between the two countries. In conclusion, they reiterated their commitment to continue this process without any preconditions.
