


ArmInfo. The first president of Armenia, Levon Ter- Petrosyan, called on the Armenian people not to participate in the anti-church rally organized by the country's authorities in Echmiadzin (Vagharshapat).
The politician stated in a post on his Facebook page, that days earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, from the rostrum of parliament, once again stated that he had not abandoned the goal of removing Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II from power. Pashinyan also said that he "already envisions the culmination of a great spiritual event in the central square of Echmiadzin," and his team is currently discussing the timing of this event.
In this regard, Ter-Petrosyan urged the Armenian people not to participate in the rally organized by the Prime Minister of Armenia. "Dear compatriots, I urge you not to participate in the rally planned by the Prime Minister under any circumstances, in order to avoid its unpredictable consequences. Remember that the government was established not to oppress you and expose you to danger, but to ensure the well-being and safety of your families," he concluded.
