


ArmInfo. On September 11, the National Assembly of Armenia elected Armen Danielyan as a judge of the Criminal Chamber of the Cassation Court through a closed secret ballot. The Supreme Judicial Council had put forward the candidacies of Lusine Abgaryan, Armen Danielyan and Nelli Baghdasaryan for the vacant position of judge of the Criminal Chamber of the Cassation Court.
Out of 107 National Assembly deputies, 66 participated in the vote. One deputy voted for Lusine Abgaryan, 65 representatives supported Armen Danielyan, and none supported Nelli Baghdasaryan.
During the debate the day before, opposition deputies accused Danielyan of following unofficial orders from the authorities to arrest opposition activists.
