


ArmInfo. During a meeting with Artur Nahapetyan, Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Committee of the Republic, the Ambassador of Italy to Armenia has expressed willingness to enhance partnership relations and expand areas of cooperation in the law enforcement sphere.
As reported by the press service of the Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia, both parties emphasized the importance to conducting retraining courses to develop the professional knowledge and skills of the Committee's staff. They also discussed possibilities of visits to Italy to learn from experiences of similar structures.
Nahapetyan expressed hope that as a result of cooperation with the Italian Embassy, the Committee's employees will continue to adopt and implement the approaches of their Italian colleagues, who have extensive experience in the law enforcement sphere.
In turn, Ferranti, touching upon the transnational nature of corruption crimes, emphasized the importance of cooperation and joining efforts with international partners in combating them. He noted that education and values are one of the best tools for fighting corruption in Italy. At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed confidence that joint work between the countries in this direction will give a new impetus to the development of law enforcement cooperation between Armenia and Italy.
