ArmInfo.  Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan congratulated Sebastien Lecornu on his appointment as Prime Minister of France.

"I cordially congratulate Sebastien Lecornu on his appointment as  Prime Minister of the French Republic. I express my deep gratitude  for our fruitful cooperation and his significant work at the Ministry  of the Armed Forces of France, which contributes to the deepening of  friendship and strategic partnership between Armenia and France,"  Papikyan wrote on his Twitter microblog (X).

On September 9, by decree of French President Emmanuel Macron,  Lecornu was appointed head of the country's government. The previous  French government resigned amid a vote of no confidence in the  executive branch by the legislature.
