


ArmInfo.The History Museum of Armenia and the British Museum have signed a memorandum of understanding. It was signed during the visit of the Armenian delegation led by Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport (MESCS) Alfred Kocharyan to London.
As ArmInfo was informed by the press service of the MESCS, the memorandum will enhance intercultural cooperation, promote the expansion of partnership, the formation of new ties and the development of cultural exchange. On the Armenian side, the document was signed by Director of the History Museum of Armenia David Poghosyan, and on the British side by Director of the British Museum Nicholas Cullinan. Alfred Kocharyan emphasized that the memorandum will secure new prospects for cooperation. In this regard, he recalled that in 2024, the History Museum of Armenia, in cooperation with the British Museum, organized an exhibition entitled "Mother Goddess: from Anahit to Mariam". According to the Deputy Minister, this exhibition became an important element of the cultural agenda for the dynamic and developing cooperation between Armenia and the UK, as well as a solid foundation for its further development. According to the source, the Armenian delegation also got acquainted with the library collections of the UK. As a result of the discussions, an agreement was reached to establish cooperation.
