
ArmInfo. An official of the Cadastre Committee of Armenia received a bribe for entering fake data into the Committee's electronic system and registering unauthorized buildings in the Ararat region.
In particular, as reported by the Anti-Corruption Committee, it was established that individual entrepreneurs who received the qualification of a cartographer, surveyor, land surveyor from the State Committee of Real Estate Cadastre of the Republic of Armenia, by prior agreement, as part of a group of persons, received a bribe from a citizen for falsifying qualitative and quantitative data on unauthorized buildings located in the territory of the city of Artashat in the Ararat region of the Republic of Armenia, and entering them into the electronic system of the Cadastre Committee of the Republic of Armenia. Part of the amount was transferred to an official of the Cadastre Committee of the Republic of Armenia to ensure unimpeded registration of unauthorized buildings under the specified conditions.
In addition, during the preliminary investigation it was established that the said individual entrepreneurs, having provided information from a person carrying out design activities in the city of Artashat, as well as a former employee of the Urban Development and Land Use Department of the Artashat Municipality, prepared a fake architectural and construction assignment for the development of design documentation for the construction of a residential building and auxiliary buildings belonging to another citizen.
Six people are accused of committing the above-mentioned criminal acts. An employee of the RA Cadastre Committee was charged under Article 435, Part 2, Clause 3 of the RA Criminal Code for accepting a bribe. Arrest was chosen as a preventive measure against him. In addition, two individual entrepreneurs were charged with aiding and abetting bribery in the private sector, as well as with the production and sale of counterfeit documents as part of a group of persons. Arrest was chosen as a preventive measure against one of them, and house arrest was chosen against the other.
During the preliminary investigation, charges were also brought against the citizen who gave the bribe and the persons who assisted in the production of forged documents. The preliminary investigation of the criminal case has been completed, the materials of the criminal case have been sent to the Anti-Corruption Court of the Republic of Armenia with an indictment
