ArmInfo. During a working visit to Paris on September 5, Secretary of the National Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan met with the Secretary General of the General Secretariat for Defense and National Security under the Prime Minister of France Nicolas Roche.
As reported by the press service of the Security Council of Armenia, the interlocutors discussed the agenda of bilateral relations between Armenia and France, in particular, they touched upon issues of cooperation in the field of security, and also discussed interaction in the framework of cybersecurity and the fight against pollution of the information environment.
Grigoryan presented the agreements reached on August 8 on unblocking regional communications, emphasizing that this will create broad economic opportunities for both the countries of the region and for countries outside the region.
During the meeting, an agreement was reached on the institutionalization of existing ties between the departments of the two countries.
On August 8, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a joint seven-point "Declaration of Peace" in Washington. It envisages a joint appeal to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) to end the OSCE Minsk process and related structures, as well as the creation of a transport corridor through Armenian territory that will connect Azerbaijan with its Nakhchivan exclave surrounded by Armenia, Turkey and Iran. The TRIPP project (Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity, a 42-km road in southern Armenia that will hand over control of the road to the United States for 99 years), according to experts, is capable of significantly changing the geopolitical situation in the South Caucasus.
